Creating the Conditions Where Social and Emotional Learning Can Thrive: Highlights of Successful Curricula

The second in a series of webinars providing an introduction to the Preparing Youth to Thrive: Promising Practices for Social & Emotional Learning, this webinar will highlight the features of a curriculum design that were found to be foundational to the work of social and emotional learning. Paul Griffin of the Possibility Project (TPP) will share how the four curriculum features–Content Sequence (Project Learning and SEL), Safe Space, Responsive Practices, and Supports for Staff—present themselves in TPP’s 10-month program. TPP brings together vastly diverse groups of teenagers who develop skills to write, produce, and perform an original musical based on their lives and their ideas for change. Take away tools and resources that will help you assess the strengths of your own curriculum.
