Carlos Rojas Álvarez, 23, is a youth organizer with Youth on Board.

Youth Today is the only independent, nationally distributed newspaper that is read by thousands of professionals in the youth service field.

Carlos Rojas Álvarez is a Youth on Board and Boston Student Advisory Council alumni who was recently invited to write a piece for Youth Today describing the vision that Youth on Board has for organizing the youth movement building since the election of President Donald Trump.

“We slowly began to realize we were connected, not alone, and loved by each other. Our organizing work became easier and richer. We developed the ability to build more inclusive and welcoming spaces for all members of the community to reflect, heal, feel hope and then take action”
